Stars, Alignments, Eunuchs, Rochambeau and You · Dec 20, 02:49 PM by Bryan

We’ve made it back from Montreal alive! The trip was pretty fun, I was a bit disappointed we never made it to Club 281, the male strip club. We gorged on poutine (although, only once) and sampled the local cuisine. We saw Old Montreal and the downtown area as well. It’s really a quaint town, reminds me of Boston, only less things to do (from what I gathered) and frenchier. We did make it to a gay bar where we checked out a drag show, but it was in French, so it wasn’t as fun. By the way, some of the guys there are way hot and even hotter that they speak french.

A big (late) congrats to Will and Anthony for their blogs being named Top 5 Boston Gay Blogs! Much deserved to the both of you.

Anyway, I don’t know if I’ll update before the next year, so Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Years and Happy whatever else you celebrate! May next year be better than the last!

P.S. I’m an uncle and I will have a nephew in May!!!

  1. Montreal has so much more to do than Boston … when its not frigid out anyways! And when it is frigid, you shop in the underground.

Next time you go, just walk up and down Ste. Catherine Between St.Hubert and Papineau and you will find plenty of the gay nightlife.

and Oh … don’t rank on Mado, she’s a hoot even if you don’t understand a bloody thing she says! She’s the Montreal version of Silvia Sydney (RIP).

  2. Thanks for the good words. It came as quite a surprise as I never had any sense that Boston Spirit was reading DesignerBlog.

Fritz and I have spent some extremely enjoyable nights at Stock in Montreal. He also liked shopping at the gay thrift boutique on St Catherine. Great food in Montreal also!

  3. OitSE: I was merely ranking on myself for the lack of French (although Jason apparently couldn’t understand her french anyway). I’ll admit that whenever she did say something in English, it was funny!

We found the shopping wasn’t as fun because of the terrible exchange rates. Maybe next time the dollar is better.

I do want to go back when it’s warmer though.
