Hacks, Jerks and Punks · Feb 27, 11:28 PM by Bryan

So I’ve been meaning to post this adorable picture of the new kitty (and Jason):

We named him Oscar, you know, after Oscar Wilde. It also happens to be the name I choose during elementary school spanish class. He’s very cute, but very needy since he’s only 11ish months old. I’ve never had a free roaming rambunctious pet (I’ve had one guinea pig and one rabbit) so it’s kinda fun. I’m only slightly allergic, but I’m told it will go away. I’m also trying to train him, but it’s not working very well. How did Sean train his cats so well?

Actually, the main reason I’m posting (besides not having posted in three weeks) is because I found that the first gay blog I ever read came back! It’s not really safe for work, but for nostalgia’s sake, I had to link to Bill In Exile. I believe he was the first person to link my old and defunct blog (I think it’s a toss up between Will and Bill. I guess they are my blogging daddies?).

In other news, I didn’t realize how easy it is to google somebody. At least, myself. I hadn’t googled myself in a while and lo and behold, I’m like 6th in the rank if you google my name. I also found out that my homepage (xuru.net) had been hacked with some nasty javascript that links to some Russian server. I hope nobody was infected by going to that page. Damned Russians hackers!

I always worry about what people think of me when they do get around to googling me, but I stopped caring, I mean, how many times has posting something online ever put somebody in trouble?

(that was sarcasm, in case you didn’t pick it up)

  1. Oscar is very like my cat, Starr, right down to the little white paws. He and that guy who’s holding him look really good!

Scott’s blog has changed a bit since he came back a couple of months ago. It’s actually sexier now and I think he’s become more revealing of his own life. In any event, it’s a compelling read.
