Karl tagged me to answer a question. I rarely do these because, well, nobody really tags me probably because I don’t update my blog that often. This is an interesting question, so I thought I’d indulge.
Question is: Name 5 reasons why I blog.
Family
I have, how you say, a fucked up family. There’s no doubt I love them all, but there’s not one that’s capable of interacting with one another without it turning into some sort of drama.
Homosexuality
I’m gay and maybe 5 years ago, I couldn’t say it. 2 years later, it was still an embarrassing admission. A year and half ago, when I moved to Boston, I vowed to overcome my fear and used writing as my crutch to become the less-embarrassed-admittedly-semi-proud gay man you see today.
Social Network
Having hailed from the social and cultural mecca known as Indiana, I lacked friends that were dynamic and interesting. Most of those who were, hailed from the internet. With some linking, emailing and commenting, I was on my merry way on making new friends.
Boredom
I’m just plain bored sometimes and trove through the internet to uncover fun or interesting links. I hate email bombing people with random and sometimes useless links, so I just post them here in case anybody feels like being educated or amused.
Writing
Plain and simple, I like writing. I have lots of creative outlets and writing is one of them. Although, you may ask, if I like writing so much, why don’t I blog more often? Well, as Jason points out, I frequently give up and grow weary of my endeavors. I think I’m just moody and now only post when I feel like it.
There you go, 5 reasons why I blog. I’m not going to tag anybody, but if you want to answer it yourself, let me know and I’ll link to your answers.
