Yey! We’re back and still haven’t settled down yet. The end of the summer means GO GO GO for Jason and I. In fact, I dropped Jason off this morning at South Station because he’s heading to New Jersey for the Justin Timberlake concert that his bestest friend’s new husband bought for Jason for being in their wedding. I would go, but I have a co-worker on vacation and can’t skip out for the few days Jason is going to be down there. Plus, we just took a bunch of vacation and we even squeezed in a day trip to Six Flags this past Thursday.

Did I mention that Six Flags is such a total rip off? Being the bargain shopper I am, it killed me a little inside with all the overpricing and the small charges they have. The thing that bothered me the most was the Flash Pass. It’s all a very mysterious device, it’s like they don’t want you to know about it, but they want you to pay for it. I did some digging and it basically allows you to wait in line without having to wait in line. You just tap it on the sign and it starts you waiting in line ‘virtually’. Apparently, not everybody knew what it was or how it worked; one guy got so ticked that the flash pass people were cutting to the front of the line that he started heckling the ride operator!

Had I known more about it or there wasn’t a line to purchase it (there was a line for EVERYTHING), it may have made my park experience better. For now, I don’t think I’ll be back this season. I do look forward next summer to going to Cedar Point, the awesomest roller coaster park ever.

And speaking of money, I’m sort of in a market for a car. I really shouldn’t be, because I should be saving my money, but I love cars. I’m sitting here blogging because I’m very tempted to head to the dealer to look at a car I’ve been eying all week. I really do mean eying; I’ve been looking at pictures of it all week. It’s so sad that cars are money blackholes. With Jason the “I don’t think we should buy this” out of the picture, I’m even more tempted to buy the car.

I think, for now, I’ll just go stare at pictures of my precious car a bit more…

  1. Sure. Make me sound like the wet blanket. If it wasn’t for me we’d probably be up to our eyeballs in hock. :-)
