Toady is the big day; we get to bring our first child home! It’s a beautiful black 1998 volvo coupe. Other than random bits of furniture here and there, this is our first big purchase together. We’ve truly entered some sort of domestic partnership now. And to think just a month ago, we weren’t planning on buying a car.
We’ve finally started to settle down. Other than Jason starting the fall teaching schedule, things are good. I still have a bunch of unboxing to do. On our trip to Indiana, I took back all my CDs, books and LPs. It mostly consists of my parent’s collection as I’ve only purchased a handful of vinyls in my lifetime. It’s actually a pretty good collection, aside from the plethora of old old Chinese opera and pop music. I don’t quite know what to do with it. I’m thinking that I’m just going to put them in some new boxes and store them away for now.
I’m amazed at how much crap we’ve managed to stuff into our tiny apartment. Hopefully an even bigger purchase of a new home is along the road map!
