Apparently, when I don’t pay attention to my blog, it gets mad at me and seeks out pornographers who want to put spam comments on my blog. I checked my email to find 40 nice comments about man bits and lady bits and what people do with said bits.

So anyway, Happy New Year! I’ve been keeping myself busy ever since Jason bought me a shiny black Nintendo DS for Christmas. My DS collect is kinda small though. I have Mario64 DS, Meteos (um, totally awesome game) and Tetris DS. A couple weeks ago I finally went online and have been furiously trying to improve my rating. I’m hovering right on the 5900-6100 line. There are some crazy ass tetris players out there and they usually have a Japanese name…

Surprisingly, we don’t have much going on this month, so maybe we should have a QBB gathering? Anybody up for going out to dinner (or dim sum!) or playing some cards? We’re open to some suggestions as well.

Stars, Alignments, Eunuchs, Rochambeau and You · Dec 20, 01:49 PM by Bryan

We’ve made it back from Montreal alive! The trip was pretty fun, I was a bit disappointed we never made it to Club 281, the male strip club. We gorged on poutine (although, only once) and sampled the local cuisine. We saw Old Montreal and the downtown area as well. It’s really a quaint town, reminds me of Boston, only less things to do (from what I gathered) and frenchier. We did make it to a gay bar where we checked out a drag show, but it was in French, so it wasn’t as fun. By the way, some of the guys there are way hot and even hotter that they speak french.

A big (late) congrats to Will and Anthony for their blogs being named Top 5 Boston Gay Blogs! Much deserved to the both of you.

Anyway, I don’t know if I’ll update before the next year, so Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Years and Happy whatever else you celebrate! May next year be better than the last!

P.S. I’m an uncle and I will have a nephew in May!!!

Common Sense and Incense · Oct 17, 11:17 PM by Bryan

Whoo wee, what an interesting weekend! Although it wasn’t that fun, I had to work on Saturday. We did stop at Ikea on Saturday for some new blinds and naturally, one of them was broken. We haven’t made it back to return, but with their easy return policy, we shouldn’t get hassled (*hint hint*buy Ikea*hint hint*). We also hosted a surprisingly large QBB luncheon on Sunday. I felt like a gaggle of ol’ southern gals gossiping on the latest topics in our Sunday best over a pitcher of sweet tea, but it was more like gay men, discussing the latest topics over Chris’s Crack Cookies; or CCC (like the KKK, only less racist and more tasty).

I also have the wonderful news of announcing that I’m going to be an uncle! That’s right, I’m going to be called Uncle Bryan (and don’t forget Auntie Jason)! It’s my brother’s first child, so everybody is all baby crazy.

As my brother says, life is all about Yin and Yang (although, he’s hardly the one to wax philosophical to me). My aunt passed away last night and has left some fun questions and a nice little legacy. Her death is bound to cause a storm in the coming months (and probably years). It’s a whole post worth of stuff; hell, I could probably write a whole book out of it. Maybe I’ll post it. Anyway, I burned some incense this evening for her (and many others who have passed away this year). It’s a Chinese tradition I’ve long left behind since moving to Boston, but it’s a nice feeling remembering who you once were.

On that Debbie Downer (or Bryan Bummer?) moment, I’ll again make the promise to post more often. It’s not like I’m inundated with material. Which I actually am. Seriously. Besides, Jason is leaving for Paris in two weeks, so I’ll have tons of time to inundate you with my life.

Also, I’m making an effort to update my links. Shoot me an email if you feel terribly left out and want to be linked on my super happy awesome fun time blog page.

Yowzas, I haven’t updated in a month! How is it that I always start with how long I’ve last blogged? It pretty much says right next to the title how long ago it was posted. Ah, enough of the self deprication. Let’s get to the news eh?

We’ve finally signed over our soul for a nice apartment. Well it was more like a lease, but I believe “eternal soul” was a clause. It’s a really cute apartment in a house in Newton Highlands. It surprisingly had all of our requirements: hardwood floors (they are super shiny), laundy (free in the basement), big kitchen, parking and near the T. We even have bonuses (or boni…) such as a nice big backyard and storage in the basement. We actually don’t move until the 26th unfortunately. Jason and I are eager to the the hell out of our current apartments.

For those wondering, I’ve made reservations for our reinvigorated QBB Restaraunt Week meet on August 25th. It’s at the interesting Parker Restaraunt inside the Omni Parker House, originator of such favorites as the Parker House Rolls and the Boston Creme Pie. They didn’t seem incredibly packed, so if you still want in, let me know ASAP so I can bump up the reservation.

I added another blogger to my links, as his great eye for photography and his midwesterness has piqued my own budding photography. Check out his website.

Oh yes. It’s back! I’m also no longer scraping from the bottom of the money barrel, so I can finally eat like the middle class pauper I always dreamed of.

So anybody up for a little QBB dinner meet for restaurant week? Yes I know, we haven’t done anything for the QBB in ages. Now’s the perfect time to get back into the swing of things! Obviously we need reservations (and a place to eat), so if you should want to partake, let me know, either via email or via a comment. Maybe in the next 2 weeks, we’ll have a good list of people and a nice resturaunt.

Boston Gay Pride Parade · May 4, 11:11 AM by Bryan

So instead of trying to do something in May, I’m making the pride parade an official QBB meet, although I don’t know a good spot to hang out. We should hit up somewhere to eat afterwards. Details are below. Send me an email (my email address is ‘encrypted’ over there on the right side) or leave a comment if you’re coming, hope to see you all there!

What: Boston Gay Pride Parade
Where: Suggestions welcome :)
When: June 10th, Noonish
Who: Bryan, Jason
Afterwards: Possibly the some restaraunt for some snackage/lunch/dinner/linner.

P.S. Do note for hilarity’s sake, that this is my first ever pride parade.
