Doin' the number 2 · Mar 29, 11:39 PM by Bryan
So I’ve started to fill in my links on the side, but it’s going kinda slow because I realized that textpattern has absolutely no easy way of importing bookmarks, say, from Firefox. It’s actually not that hard, plus, I can add descriptions to my links, although I haven’t really added descriptions to them all. I added a new category of links, Friends, which is obviously a link to some friend’s websites.
Speaking of number two, I must admit, being the organizer of the QBB has had it’s ups and downs. What is the QBB you say? It’s a little group that started from an idea Jeff had to organize us Queer Boston Bloggers. I cobbled a name together and thus it was born… and then quickly died. It was really hard coming up with interesting things to do. After all, I never even hung out with this many gay people in my entire life. How was I supposed to entertain them having never been exposed to the culture in the first place? I think I’ve realized that it’s not about outdoing the last event, it’s about having fun. I don’t think it even matters the setting anymore. I think it’s about being with people who just understand.
P.S. Since people have asked what the symbols on the side mean, it’s my given Chinese name. It’s also pretty much the only thing I can read in Chinese. It was given to me at birth by my mom and probably the first words of Chinese I ever learned.

New Blog · Mar 26, 12:59 PM by Bryan
So here it is, my new blog. It’s kind of a minimalist’s design. I took the article borders from spiffycorners.com. The rest was all me. It’s powered by textpattern, a really cool, simple blog application. I can’t promise how often I’ll blog, but I can promise I will. Anyway, I’ll give you a little tour.
On the left, you’ll see my links. These are the links I check out practically everyday. Daily Readings is exactly that. Websites with great news, reviews and interesting articles fall in this category. Music Links are similar as well, links to music website I frequent. Queer Bloggers are the list of great queer bloggers I read. There is a special list for my fellow Bostonian Queer bloggers, Queer Boston Bloggers. Since I’m also a self advocated technogeek, I’ve got a list of my favorite tech websites. I also am a big comics fan, so there’s a list of my favorite webcomics as well.
As for me, you might be wondering who I am. I’m a 25 year old gay male living in Boston. Suprisingly, I haven’t been able to tell people I’m gay for a long time. People are under the impression that because more people are coming out, it still doesn’t make it easier. It’s been thanks to my wonderful boyfriend that I’m more comfortable telling people. He may be as crazy as me, but he’s my rock.
I work in the Technology field, doing IT support. My true love is music though. I’m a budding musician, with my roots in electronic music and alternative rock. Now that I have a blog, you’ll see me wax about my musical ramblings.
And now, I’ll turn the floor to you, anything you want to ask me?
